The path to CE marking

Harmonised standard

CE Marking indicates that a product complies with a European technical standard called a harmonised European Norm (EN). The conformity of fire dampers is evaluated against a certain number of criteria defined in the EN 15650:2010 product standard. These relate to fire resistance, durability (cyclic mechanical tests, protection against corrosion) or the aeraulic performance of the product (air tightness, pressure loss, acoustic performance).

Certification process

Starting from test results, a technical file is compiled. Daily quality checks are carried out on different aspects, factory production is monitored and samples are taken by notified bodies. When this procedure has been successfully completed, the notified body issues a certificate of conformity for the manufacturer. Based on this document, the manufacturer prepares a declaration of conformity before applying the CE marking on its product.
