10 out of 10 : win the deal with Rf-t fire dampers!

Our specific focus on passive fire protection enables us to manufacture a range of fire dampers that is probably the most competitive on the market today. This conclusive list of unique selling arguments for our product range is designed to help you convince your prospects.

30 European classification documents: most extensively certified range

At Rf-Technologies we have been testing fire dampers according to the EN 1366-2 European standard for years now. These tests have been translated into over 30 classification documents according to the EN 13501-3 standard. Next to the core products and standardised wall types (rigid wall and floor, light-partition wall), specific solutions have also been successfully tested and hold their own European classification reports:

easy to install dry-mounted damper; battery mounted damper; dampers tested in gypsum blocks of 70m; dampers tested under a higher pressure (1500 Pa) or with a longer fire resistance (240’).

The whole idea of this impressive list of classifications is to offer a solution for all applications, which makes engineering studies and installation easier, for virtually any construction situation. See our classification overview for detailed information

4 wall types, 1 product

We want to simplify the work of all players in the building chain. Engineers, installers and distributors all benefit from our basic principle to have one single product that fits all types of walls.
- The selection of the wall type can be postponed or modified at a later stage in the study;
- Installation is simplified and consistent since the same solution is applied in the various walls of the construction;
- Stock taking is made easier for our distribution partners.

“Practical” installation

In order to comply with their classification documents, fire dampers must be installed in accordance with the tested device: depending on the wall type, the installation and sealing processes described in the classification report must be respected carefully.
But fire dampers are installed on construction sites, not in a laboratory. Our R&D team is very well aware of the many players involved in the installation process of our fire dampers: engineers, carpenters, bricklayers, plasterers, electricians all can have an impact on the correct installation of the product.
To make the installation of our fire dampers as easy as possible whilst still conform to the classification document, we strive to use standard construction products such as mortar, plaster, rock wool, plasterboards… for the sealing of the opening. A huge facilitator to ensure conformity with the tested situation and hence a fire-safe solution.

Best in class air-tightness

Our range of fire dampers offers standard air-tightness Class B according to the EN 1751 standard. Class C is available upon request.
The average air-tightness class for fire dampers on the market today is A or lower while a growing number of European countries include air-tightness as a mandatory building requirement in their national regulations.

Lowest pressure loss

With damper blades as thin as 20 mm (circular dampers) or 25 mm (rectangular dampers), Rf-Technologies offers a range of dampers with a maximised free air passage. Furthermore, the fusible link is parallel to the damper blade and the mechanical transmission is completely outside the tunnel. These features result in one of the most energy efficient fire damper solutions available on the market today. This aspect positively impacts the TCO (total cost of ownership) of the overall ventilation system.

Increase habitable volume, hence cost efficiency

Our small format circular (100mm diameter) and rectangular (100mm high) fire dampers stand for a higher return on the construction volume.

Smaller ventilation ducts not only let you build more habitable space; they also unleash increased energy performance in the longer term since ventilation systems can be properly dimensioned.

Available in the largest dimensions

Both our circular and rectangular ranges feature a wide and flexible array of dimensions:

rectangular dampers for instance are available up to 1500x1000mm by increments of 50mm and a certified battery mounting tested according to EN 1366-2 is available for the largest ducts up to 2450x1650mm.

Optimised application of ‘light’ mechanisms to decrease TCO

Our range takes full advantage of the recommended power of its ‘light’ mechanisms across the range. Compared to other solutions on the market, it means for instance that we offer light motorised actuators up to the recommended damper size of maximum width + height = 1200mm, as is shown in the following table for the rectangular CU2 dampers. Light actuators are significantly cheaper than their standard counterpart.Range motorised CU2

Dry-mounted dampers

In our effort to facilitate installation, we developed the CU-LT-1s fire damper, a dry-mounted damper which guarantees a fire resistance of 120’ or 90’ (light partition wall).

This unique concept is ideally suited for renovation works and for work sites where access to the damper is difficult or impossible from one side of the wall (terminal damper). Compared to competitive solutions, the CU-LT-1S is truly easy to install with standard screws, in all types of walls.Go to the CU-LT-1s product page

Reliable pick-up date

For most projects you are working on, delivery is key. Be it a large project where fire dampers must be installed at a specific planned time or an urgent replacement, knowing that you can expect our products on time increases the trust of your customers.
With a reliability rate of 96%, the delivery times we communicate are among the most reliable in the industry.

Our additional express service can be called upon for your most urgent needs: if we can book your express order before 11 AM, you can count on product availability (ex works) within
