A European range for all types of walls

With the addition of the Ge grills, Rf-Technologies offer a range of European certified grills that is quite unique in Europe. Our grills are classified according to the EN13501-2 European standard, meaning that they meet the strictest fire testing criteria regarding the penetration of fire resistant walls, floors, ceilings and doors.

The Ge range: superior fire-resistance and larger dimensions

This complete family of technical see-through grills is an ideal solution for ventilating technical premises, for example. The Ge grill is available in various degrees of fire-resistance (Ge60 and Ge90 for respectively 60 and 90 minutes).

The specific Ge60-XL model also disposes of a reinforced 100mm-thick frame in HDF (high density fibreboard), which ensures its rigidity, even for the largest dimensions up to 1200x800mm. This model has been specifically designed to meet the need for a certified solution to replace the former battery-mounted grills.

Optimal air flow

Rf-Technologies grills are conceived to allow superior natural ventilation. The horizontal slats and vertical rods have a streamlined shape which stands for a minimal pressure loss through the grill.

Gz60 for other applications

The Gz60 grill is already well-known by our distribution partners. The aesthetically finished non-vision model of the range is available in three standard RAL colours in order to satisfy architectural preferences. A fixed or variable frame finishing ensures a perfect result for the opening effected in the wall. This grill offers a harmonious architectural solution for the natural ventilation of hospitals or office buildings for instance.

Fire resistance: how do our grills work?

Rf-Technologies grills are made of profiles in synthetic material filled with intumescent strips that inflate in the event of fire in order to rapidly seal the opening and offer protection against flame and heat propagation during a guaranteed lapse of time.
The functioning of a fire resistant transfer grill is based on the dilatation properties of the intumescent materials in the profiles.
When the room temperature reaches 100°C, the material dilates to attain several times its original thickness.
The slats then melt together to constitute a non-combustible mass that procures a fire resistance similar to that of the penetrated construction. This way, it impedes the passage of flames and heat.
