Princess Elisabeth research station in Antarctica

On the 15th of February, 2009 the new Belgian research base Princess Elisabeth has been festive put into service. Rf-Technologies delivered the dampers for this innovating piece of high tech and environmentally responsible ingenuity.

The new Belgian polar science station distinguishes itself by its revolutionary “emission-free” design, which means that it does not discharges CO2. For its electricity and heating it relies on 9 wind turbines, 408 photovoltaic solar panels and 24 m2 thermal solar panels. All the water gets cleaned and recycled.


Rf-Technologies delivered the CR60 fire dampers for this prestigious project via its partner Beltherm.
