Need to seal off the opening around a fire damper cartridge with fire resistant stone wool slabs? Rf-t does it again!
Penetrations in fire compartment walls are increasingly often sealed with rigid slabs of coated stone wool. These panels are easy to handle and, in combination with the adequate coating, they provide a fire-resistant sealing as well as a seamless finish around penetrations.
Rf-Technologies is the only manufacturer to offer a certified solution to seal the opening around a circular duct fitted with a fire damper cartridge with fire resistant rock wool slabs. This solution is suitable for both rigid and flexible (metal stud) walls.
This method can be used with:
- A standard SC+90 fire damper cartridge inserted in a metal circular duct at the level of the wall crossing; as well as
- A fire damper cartridge with finishing valve SCV+90 for mounting at the end of the air duct.
